Sanctuary’s S.T.A.R.™ Team Recommends

With the warm weather upon us, Sanctuary’s S.T.A.R.™ Experience Manager, Brandon, recommends an activity that will truly allow visitors and New Yorkers alike to bask in the beauty of the Big Apple. On June 12th at 6:00pm the Museum Mile Festival  will commence. Since 1978 the festival, featuring free access to 9 museums along Fifth Avenue, has been a huge success! Every year attendance exceeds 50,000 people. The city of New York has even designated Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 105th streets as “Museum Mile” further cementing the area as one of the city’s major cultural resources. In addition to the nine museums, be sure to check out interactive activities, musical entertainment and artists demonstrations along the way. When asked for visitor tips, Brandon replied, “Don’t lose patience. Although the lines can be long, they do move fairly quickly. Speaking of lines, the Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art tend be the busiest, so plan accordingly. Lastly, a great place to stop in for a bite is Sarabeths’s on Madison Avenue between 92nd and 93rd streets. They have a great prix-fixe menu, 3 courses for $34!” For more tips on getting around the festival contact Brandon directly by calling the Sanctuary Hotel’s main line (212) 234-7000.
