For eight days, starting September 8th, Lincoln Center will host a myriad of well known and emerging fashion designers from all over the world.
Three runway venues, the Theatre, Stage and Studio offer designers prime exhibition space to show-off their latest collections. Additionally the Box, a more intimate viewing area, and the Courtyard will host a variety of presentations and events throughout the week. Some of the designers participating include: Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Herve Leger, Ralph Lauren, Tory, Burch, Vera Wang, J.Mendel, and many more.  Zarkana
Hurry, because the magic of Zarkana is about to disappear. The Cirque du Soleil show will run its last performance on October 8th at Radio City Music Hall (conveniently located seconds away from the Sanctuary Hotel)! Zarkana is an acrobatic rock opera that blends circus arts with the surreal to create a world where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the strange. Follow the magician Zark as he searches for the love of his life and his lost powers in an abandoned theater filled with a motley collection of off-the-wall characters and incomparable acrobats. Watch as little by little, chaos and craziness give way to festivity and love regained.

 New York City Ballet
Leap into New York City Ballet’s fall season on September 13th. The season will kick-off with the return of Peter Martin’s full-length production of Swan Lake and end on October 9th with a special farewell performance for Principal Dancer Charles Askegard, who will retire after 25 years. The highlight of the fall season will be the September 22nd Fall Gala. It will feature the World Premier of Ocean’s Kingdom , a collaboration between Sir Paul McCartney and NYCB Ballet Master Chief Peter Martins. Other fantastic fall performances include two all Balanchine Black and White performances on September 16th and September 20th, featuring Episode, Apollo and The Four Temperaments, as well as five performances of Balanchine’s full length Jewels on September 28th, October 1st, 2nd, 4th and 7th.  Food Network Food & Wine Festival
The fourth annual Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival will be rolling into town on September 29th but will only stick around until October 2nd. The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival is the only festival in New York City that features both legendary icons from around the world and America’s favorite celebrity chefs! Although most of the festivities will take place in the trendy Meatpacking District, the 2011 Culinary Demonstrations and the Grand Tasting will be in the historic landmark at Pier 57, at 15th Street and the Hudson River. Guests will be able to spend their day watching culinary demos, enjoying Southern Wine & Spirits of New York portfolio and sampling food from the New York’s finest restaurants. Participating chef’s include: Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart, Masaharu Morimoto and many more.
